Robertson - Law demands complete obedience and rests not on mercy, faith, grace. Don Anderson - In other words, you do not mix the two together. They are OPPOSITES, just like OIL AND WATER. Even if a man kept all the law, the righteousness that he would have would be inferior, because it would be his own, whereas Paul’s gospel offers us the righteousness of God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
