Malaquias 2

Barnes - And spread dung upon your faces, the dung of your solemn feasts, or, of your sacrifices. It was by the law carried without the camp and burned with the animal itself. They had brought before the face of God maimed, unfitting sacrifices; they should have them cast back, with their refuse, upon them; Refuse (dung, offal) (06569) (peres/feresh) refers to the feces, excrement produced in an animal or human being! NET Note - The Hebrew term feresh ("offal") refers to the entrails as ripped out in preparing a sacrificial victim This graphic term has been variously translated: "dung" (KJV, RSV, NRSV, NLT); "refuse" (NKJV, NASB); "offal" (NEB, NIV). You will be taken away with it - NLT renders it "I will add you to the dung heap."
