Phillips - The seven miracles connected with the public ministry of Jesus, and selected by John as seven of his eight "signs," begin and end with a family, one in Cana of Galilee and one in Bethany of Judea. The one was at a wedding, the other at a funeral—life's gladdest and life's saddest hours. At the one he changed water into wine. At the other he triumphed over the tomb.
