Wiersbe - Paul’s question (v. 2) should read, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” To base a doctrine of “a second blessing” on this verse is wrong. The Spirit comes into our lives when we believe on Christ, not afterward (Eph. 1:13–14). (Wiersbe's Expository Outlines - NT) John
