Lucas 22

Shepherd of Hermas · Comentário Patrístico (catena)

Lucas 22:24

And they who gave in their branches green and cracked were always faithful and good, though emulous of each other about the foremost places, and about fame: now all these are foolish, in indulging in such a rivalry. — Shepherd of Hermas, Similitude 8

Lucas 22:43

But those who are weak and slothful in prayer, hesitate to ask anything from the Lord; but the Lord is full of compassion, and gives without fail to all who ask Him. But you, having been strengthened by the holy Angel, and having obtained from Him such intercession, and not being slothful, why do not you ask of the Lord understanding, and receive it from Him? — Shepherd of Hermas, Similitude 5
